  1. Tell me a little bit about yourself and what led you to your current role with Unified CG. After working for General Contractors for 20 years in Project Management I was looking for a change in my daily routine. I always enjoyed the planning & execution of self-performing work when the opportunities presented themselves on the GC side and thought my experience would transition well to the work that Unified performs.
  2. What do you enjoy most about your job?  I enjoy the process of planning & executing work as well as interacting with people. Working as a Sub-Contractor; I get the opportunity to visit a lot of projects and meet a lot of new people on both the General & Subcontractor Side of the business in a different way than my former position prior to joining the Unified Team. I appreciate the challenge of exceeding expectation of my own and others and my job presents that every day.

  3. What have been the biggest challenges or biggest changes you have seen in the course of your career?  The biggest challenges over the course of my career is a challenging question to answer as this is a business that challenges my every minute of every day….what I have learned over my career is that the biggest challenges that exist during my work day are the same ones that exist outside of work. Even the most challenging situations can be reduced if you can be yourself first and foremost, be honest, communicate clearly, be accountable, and simply treat people the way you would expect someone to treat you.

  4. Looking back, what would you tell your younger self when you were starting your career? Would you do anything differently? I believe if I set some time aside to self-evaluate what I naturally enjoyed about my job vs trying to excel in the position I was in I may have transitioned sooner in my career however I did enjoy what I did prior to Unified also and I try not to have regret on the past but use my energy to focus on moving forward.

  5. What excites you the most about working at Unified CG? I enjoy the Team atmosphere of a smaller company and being more directly involved in planning in the future of Unified with my peers.

  6. How has your career grown during your tenure here?  I am gaining an unbelievable point of view from the other side of the business. It really is cool to be able to communicate with our clients and see all sides when interacting day in and day out.

  7. How do you pay it forward, and how do you recharge your batteries?   I try to pay it forward by communicating with my peers and clients and sharing any information when the opportunity presents itself as others have done to me. This industry is trending in a direction where the focus on technology is becoming more important than the knowledge of building so we all need to take a minute to share building experiences so tasks can be managed properly, efficiently, and safely. I recharge my batteries by enjoying time at home with my family and try to get out on the ocean as much as possible whether its boating & fishing or hitting the beach day or night.

  8. Do you have a favorite slogan or saying that you use? Be Yourself
